Robert Erwin Limberg, 92, of Wellington, MO. passed from this earth Monday, November 21st, 2022 at the Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lexington, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 28, 2022 at the St. Luke Evangelical Free Church, Wellington. Visitation 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to service. Burial in the church cemetery.
Robert was born May 2, 1930 in Wellington, MO, son of Erwin August, and Susie (Stout) Limberg He graduated from Wellington High School in 1948. Joined the Army March 28, 1954 and left Active Duty on March 27, 1956 to go to the Missouri National Guard. He married Doris L. Soendker on April 27, 1952. Together they raised 3 children.
Bob spent most of his working years at Taystee Bread Company (American Bakeries), retiring in 1991 after 35 years. He was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Free Church, American Legion Borgman-Osthoff Post 134, Lion’s Club and AARP.
He was preceded by his parents, wife Doris, Brother Donald, Sister Dorrel, and brother-in-law Frank Schretlen. Bob is survived by his 2 daughters and 1 son: Robin Limberg, Grain Valley, MO., Shelly (Herschel) Todd, Wellington, MO. Steve (Brenda) Limberg of Wellington, MO. Grandchildren: Jessica (Brien) Matthys, Kansas City, MO., Janelle (James) Haik III, Nixa, MO., Ashley (Evan) Hoeppner, Mayview, MO., Joshua Limberg, Grain Valley, MO. Great-Grandchildren Tommy, Harrison, Hampton Matthys, Kimber, James Haik IV, Wyatt, Sawyer, August Hoeppner, Joshua Limberg. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials to: St. Luke Evangelical Free Church or Good Shepherd Auxiliary.
