Mary Janice Beckman, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at NorthCare Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, at The Zion Methodist Church, Napoleon, MO. Visitation 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Wellington-Napoleon Funeral Home Chapel, Wellington, MO. Burial in Elliott Grove Cemetery, Brunswick, MO. In lieu of flowers Memorials can be made to The Zion Methodist Church, Napoleon, MO. or NorthCare Hospice, NKC Hospital.
Janice was born the youngest of four children. daughter of Oswald D. and Nettie (Woodward) Britt on December 18, 1935, in Brunswick, MO. Being the last to pass. Janice graduated from Brunswick High School in 1953. She married Larry Carson, on June 13, 1953. Larry passed away on August 14, 1986. She later married Eldon Beckman on March 2, 1996. Eldon passed away on July 20, 2022. She worked many years as a bank teller, retiring from Napoleon Bank. Was a member of The Napoleon Zion Methodist Church, Napoleon Quilters, O-We-May-Nap Camping Club, and was a Leader of the Levasy 4-H Club for 5 years. Janice loved spending time with family, quilting, traveling, camping with friends including in the Texas Valley.
She is survived by her children; Lari Anne (Dan) Crawford, Marshfield, MO., Kari (Freeman) Haste, Parkville, MO., Mari (Bob) Landram, Parkville, MO., Lana (Chet) Goodman, Parkville, MO., Dale (Tammy) Beckman, Lexington, MO., Sally Crump (Paul Valadez), Independence, MO. 13 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren.
